"The 1st Japan Times Special Seminar" will be held on July 8, featuring speeches exploring the enjoyment of reading English newspapers and introducing The Japan Times' operations.
Masumi Muramatsu, a Simul Academy lecturer who authored "My English Watching," will speak in Japanese about his joy of English newspaper reading, and an editor of the paper will introduce its operations and history.
The first 200 applicants will be invited to the seminar scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Japan Times/Nifco Building near JR Tamachi Station.
To apply, send your name, address, telephone number, age and occupation to The Japan Times, Sales Department, "Seminar Kakari" 108-8071, or fax the information to (03) 3452-1298. The application deadline is July 2. Successful applicants will receive an invitation by mail.
