Strong winds and rain hit a wide area of Japan on Thursday, leaving one person dead and 15 people injured in Tokyo and Chiba Prefecture.
Police said Kiyoshi Shirai, 58, died after he fell off the roof of his shed in Futtsu, Chiba Prefecture.
Fourteen of the injuries occurred in that prefecture.
