A Liberal Democratic Party task force on Thursday drafted a set of measures to create new jobs by implementing public works projects and utilizing nonprofit organizations, party sources said.
The task force, headed by LDP Policy Affairs Chief Yukihiko Ikeda, is expected to formalize the plan as early as next week, they said.
The ruling party intends to have the plan reflected in the government's comprehensive program for reconstructing Japanese industry and boosting the job market. The outline of the program is due out on June 11.
