A fair to provide information about intensive English-language courses at U.S. colleges and other academic institutions will travel to Fukuoka, Osaka and Tokyo later this month.
The fair, sponsored by the Center for International Cultural Studies and Education, aims to help students choose an English course by providing opportunities to speak directly with program administrators from more than 30 schools, including the University of California at Berkley and the University of Pennsylvania.
The administrators will explain the characteristics of their institutions and English programs. All the schools attending are affiliated with the American Association of Intensive English Programs, a cosponsor of the event. The fair will also feature video displays and a bulletin library. A free translation service will be available.
The fair is scheduled for Saturday at Acros Fukuoka in Fukuoka from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Sunday at the Hankyu Grand Building in Osaka from 11:20 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and April 29 at Shinjuku L Tower in Tokyo from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call the Center for International Cultural Studies and Education at (03) 5323-4421.
