A delegation of 20 young Israeli and Palestinian men who are thought to have the potential to become leaders in politics, business and media in the region will visit Japan next week, the Foreign Ministry said Friday.
The men, who are all in their 20s and 30s, will arrive Tuesday for a weeklong visit at the invitation of the ministry. They are scheduled to meet with officials from the government, business circles and other groups, and exchange views on a variety of bilateral issues, a ministry spokesman said.
The program aims to enhance the participants' mutual understanding and familiarize young leaders in the Middle East with Japanese foreign policy, the spokesman said.
