Fifteen international organizations such as the World Bank, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and the World Trade Organization will hold a special forum in Tokyo on Nov. 10 to inform job-seekers of recruitment opportunities.
According to the organizers, the groups conduct continuous worldwide searches for new staffers. The Tokyo event marks the first time they will bring their recruiters under one roof.
Some Japanese nationals who currently work for these bodies will be present to talk about their experiences. Although recruitment is not limited to Japanese candidates, the organizations involved would like to see more Japanese among their ranks.
The forum will be held on the 28th floor of the Fukoku Seimei Building in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. For further information, call the secretariat at (03) 5467-8239 or fax (03) 5467-4722.
