General Motors Japan Ltd. said Thursday that Mitsuru Sato, former president of Volkswagen Group Japan K.K., has become president of GM Japan, succeeding Douglas J. Herberger.
Herberger, in turn, was made chairman with the right to represent the Japanese unit of General Motors Corp. of the United States, the company said. Sato left the Japanese unit of Volkswagen AG at the end of June, it added.
