The 8th International Goodwill Junior Yacht Regatta will be held Sept. 12 off the Wakasu Yacht Kunren Center in Wakasu Kaihin Koen-nai, Koto Ward, Tokyo.
The race, supported by The Japan Times, the Foreign and Education ministries, the Japan Yachting Association and the Tokyo Metropolitan Office, is open to boys and girls of any nationality, with sailing experience, between the ages of 9 and 16. About 70 children will be able to participate in the race, which costs 5,000 yen (including entry fee, insurance fee, lunch and ticket for child and guardian to the party after the race). Additional party tickets cost 1,000 yen.
