The Language Institute of Japan is seeking 100 English teachers to participate in its annual international summer workshop in Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, from August 9 to 14.
The program, aimed at training enthusiastic English teachers to upgrade their teaching skills and classroom activities, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. English-language education specialists and teachers from 11 countries will make presentations on different teaching techniques. Participants will take part in the presentations and classes of their choice as well as special activities during the workshop. The entire program will be in English.
Prior to the workshop, the LIOJ will hold a symposium on English education in Japan and Asian countries on Aug. 8. Admission is free. For details, call (0465) 23-1677, or fax (0465) 23-1688.
