Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto will visit France and the U.S. later this month, Chief Cabinet Secretary Kanezo Muraoka told a regular news conference Thursday.
Hashimoto will fly to France on July 19 for three days and will have talks with President Jacques Chirac on July 20, Muraoka said.
The visit will be followed by a visit to the U.S. from July 21 to 25, during which Hashimoto is scheduled to meet with President Bill Clinton on July 22, Muraoka said. It will be the 10th tete-a-tete for the two leaders, according to the top government spokesman.
