Toyota Motor Corp. announced Wednesday that it has started sales of its fully remodeled Vista, a medium-class luxury vehicle that has been redesigned with more space and improved fuel economy.
The first Vista model debuted in 1982. The new vehicle, which is the fifth in the series, is equipped with either a 1.8-liter or 2-liter newly developed engine.
Toyota also introduced a wagon version of the Vista Ardeo and raised the height of the original sedan model by 95 mm. The height of the wagon version has been raised by 105 mm, compared to the original model.
The new sedan is priced between 1.69 million yen and 2.53 million yen, while the wagon is priced between 1.79 million yen and 2.62 million yen. Toyota hopes to sell 7,000 Vistas per month.
