Toyota Motor Corp. is accepting ticket requests and applications to audition to perform in the "Toyota After 5 Concerto," the most recent in a series of concerts that began in 1989.
Applications for participation in the nonprofessional Marunouchi Symphony Orchestra will be accepted from amateur musicians of any nationality residing in Japan. Fifty people will be selected through a lottery to perform four pieces with the New York Symphonic Ensemble.
To apply for tickets, send a postcard by May 8 labeled "ticket request" to "Toyota After 5 Concerto" public affairs division, Toyota Motor Corp., 4-18, Koraku 1-come, Bunkyo-ku Tokyo 112-8701. To apply to perform, send a postcard with the words "performance application." In addition to your name and address, include your age, employer, telephone number, instrument and years of experience to the same address.
Rehearsals will be held in June and July and the concert will be presented at Tokyo's Sumida Trifony Hall on July 26, starting at 2 p.m. For more information, call (03) 3817-9939 or (03) 3817-9937.
