OSAKA -- Free maps to direct students to Japanese classes in the Kansai region are available in eight languages, providing information on 134 classes. The maps include phone numbers, nearby train stations and descriptions of each class.

The International Friendship Network of Japan has published two versions of its Map of Japanese Language Classes in Kansai, one for Osaka Prefecture and the other for Hyogo, Kyoto, Nara, Shiga and Wakayama prefectures.

Both versions are available in English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, Tagalog, Thai and Vietnamese. All include Japanese. They can be obtained at organizations for foreign residents in Japan, international exchange groups, local government offices and universities.

Those who wish to obtain copies can also send 100 yen postage for three copies or less, 200 yen postage for four to six copies and 300 yen postage for seven or more copies to: The International Friendship Network of Japan, 2F International House in Osaka, Uehonmachi 8-2-6, Tennoji-ku, Osaka, 543-0001.
