HAKUBA, Nagano Pref. -- The nightmare hit Japan all over again while Finland enjoyed its second gold medal of the Nagano Olympics as Jani Soininen clinched the ski jumping individual normal hill (90 meters) title with 234.5 points Wednesday at Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium.
Japanese Kazuyoshi Funaki took the silver medal with 233.5 in his first appearance in the Winter Games, and Andreas Widhoelzl of Austria was third with 232.5. "Of course I'm happy, because I think the gold medal in the Olympic Games is something everybody dreams of," Soininen said.
