New Zealand Prime Minister Jenny Shipley will visit Japan from March 8 to 11 as a state guest and will meet with Prime Minister Ryutaro Hashimoto to discuss bilateral and international issues, Foreign Ministry officials said Tuesday.
Shipley will also meet with Japanese business leaders to discuss bilateral business ties, they said. Her visit will help strengthen bilateral relations between Japan and New Zealand, the officials said. Shipley last visited Japan in September 1995 while she was serving as welfare minister.
