A plant that will produce diesel oil from waste vegetable oil at Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants started production Thursday.
Yoshida & Company started plant operations in Nagano using technology developed in the United States, the company said. The new diesel oil eliminates the eye irritation and the bad smells caused by carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and carbon hydrates emissions commonly associated with the use of mineral diesel, and there is no loss of engine power, they said.
