The Liberal Democratic Party on Friday unveiled a second set of economic stimulus proposals to dispel current pessimism about an economy that has deflated Tokyo stock prices and the value of the yen.
Few of the steps were viewed as immediate remedies.
Included in the package are deregulatory steps designed to boost construction and land use, and proposals for use of private-sector funds and the government's fiscal investment and loan program.
