OSAKA -- Hollywood action film hero Arnold Schwarzenegger will donate 1.5 million yen to Osaka Prefecture for a children's recreational facility during a visit to Osaka later this week, prefectural officials said.
Schwarzenegger will present a check to Gov. "Knock" Yokoyama during a promotional visit July 24 for his latest movie, "Batman and Robin." The money will go toward purchasing toys for the Big Bang recreational facility in Sakai city. The four-floor facility includes playground equipment, a simulation theater and multipurpose hall that will feature musicals and puppet shows.
Construction is expected to be completed next year, and the facility is to open in 1999. Schwarzenegger plans a one-day trip around Japan on a special charted jet to promote the movie. He is expected to arrive at Kansai International Airport on early July 24.
