The Japan Helpline, a nationwide, 24-hour toll-free emergency assistance service, has launched a campaign to meet its astronomical telephone charges.
Named the "One Card Campaign," the organization is seeking donations of unused NTT telephone cards to help cover the huge telephone charges incurred by taking up to nearly 2,000 calls a month. Donations can be made by sending the unused cards to "One Card Campaign," CPO 833, Tokyo 100-91, or by depositing them directly at a nearby NTT office.
