The government of Ireland is now accepting scholarship applications from Japanese students for postgraduate studies at an Irish university.
One student will receive the scholarship, which includes tuition, registration fees and living expenses of 372 pounds a month for the October 1997 to May 1998 term. Applicants must be a university graduate or advanced undergraduate no older than 35 who has completed three years of academic study and has a good command of English. Celtic Studies students must have a good knowledge of the Celtic language.
The application deadline is March 28. Application forms are available from the Irish Embassy, Ireland House, 2-10-7 Kojimachi, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo 102. Enclose a self-addressed envelope with a 190 yen stamp. For more information, call the embassy at (03) 3263-0695.
