Is Hong Kong food one of the eight major cuisines in China?
This question does not have a definite answer because the definition and history of Hong Kong cuisine are complex. For one, Hong Kong cuisine is a mixture of dishes from different regions and cultures both within and beyond China. Cantonese, British, Indian and Southeast Asian cuisines, to name a few, have all influenced Hong Kong recipes, flavor profiles and favored ingredients over the centuries.
