Lauded cream puff specialist Beard Papa’s isn't holding back for summer 2020. It’s released two new takes on its signature item, aiming to make the season a little bit tastier.
The chain's limited-edition blueberry cheesecake puff is on sale for the month of July. A return for the popular item from last year, it's easy to see why this dessert (¥230 after tax) has been brought back for another go. It strikes just the right balance between tart and sweet, and the cream puff’s soft exterior works especially well with this mix of flavors.
Beard Papa’s has also introduced an item embracing the opposite texture. The store's new "Dinosaur Crispy Egg Puff" takes the franchise’s signature cream and places it in a crunchy shell made to look like a prehistoric egg. Available until the end of August, this item (¥230 after tax) is a twist on the standard Beard Papa’s formula, and shows that the sweet cream in the center goes well with all textures.
