To kick off the New Year, a unique burger dubbed the mochi (rice cake) cheeseburger will be offered at Grand Hyatt Tokyo's The Oak Door steakhouse on the sixth floor from Jan. 1 to 7.
The chefs have successfully incorporated mochi, one of the quintessential Japanese New Year's foods, into a burger.
Diners can try the mochi cheeseburger featuring a beef patty topped with fragrant shiso (perilla), ponzu sauce (citrus-based soy sauce), dried seaweed, mochi, cheese, green onion and yuzu (Japanese citrus) mayo sandwiched between two mochi-like buns.
