The weather has started getting chilly and, accordingly, konbini (convenience stores) have started packing their shelves with special seasonal items.
The folks behind the Chip Star brand of potato chips have released two limited-edition flavors for the occasion: pumpkin and, more intriguing, sweet potato. The latter (¥140) is colored a deep purple and has a less salty taste than the regular variety of Chip Star. It packs a realistic sweet potato taste, too, which is a nice change from the chips that are usually offered at the konbini. Make the most of these before the fall ends.
