For the last few years, Haagen-Dazs has been teaming up with Seven-Eleven Japan for a special series of ice creams called Japonais.
The main draw is that each ¥360 cup includes several layers of unique flavors. The newest in the series starts off with a tasty kinako (roasted soybean flour) sauce topping that reveals a reliable (albeit unexciting) deck of vanilla ice cream.
The final layer is a mix of dark sugary syrup with green tea-flavored ice cream. That finale ends up being a bit of a let-down, as the green tea flavoring and syrup don't mix all that well (and end up being the messiest part of the cup). Stick to the first two layers.
