The new year is barely two weeks old, so there's still time to earn good vibes for 2015.
The Sweets Plaza store on the first floor of Tokyo Kaikan (3-2-1 Marunouchi,Chiyoda-ku,Tokyo) is offering up a tasty — and cute — way to ensure a good 12 months. Until Jan. 31, the store is selling fuku hitsuji (lucky sheep) cakes, which are shaped like this year's Zodiac animal.
Available in white and pink, the cake (¥ 540) combines whipped cream, chestnut mousse and a slightly tart apricot jam in the middle, along with two crispy wafers serving as horns. This sheep is a delicious way to welcome 2015 — as long as you can make peace with biting into such an adorable face.
