Through Feb. 29, 2012, the Odakyu Hotel de Yama in the resort area of Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, is offering a special winter accommodation plan that comes with a special Japanese kaiseki dinner featuring fugu, a seasonal fish for winter in Japan.
After guests take in the scenery and the fresh, crisp winter air around the hotel's vast 15-hectare garden, with panoramic vistas of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji, they can relax in the hotel's natural hot spring bath. Later, they can enjoy a special Japanese course menu with a variety of fugu dishes, such as usuzukuri (raw, translucent slices), fried fugu and fugu hot pot. Also, hot sake flavored with grilled fugu fins is available at an additional cost.
Western- or Japanese-style breakfast is included in the plan.
