Through April 30, the Royal Park Hotel in the Nihonbashi area of Tokyo is offering a spring kaiseki course menu featuring bamboo shoots at its Japanese restaurant, Genjikoh.
Freshness is key for bamboo shoots, which contain plenty of vitamins, minerals and fiber. Genjikoh offers an authentic kaiseki experience with this seasonal ingredient. The range of dishes offered include bamboo shoots that are pickled, boiled and fried, as well as rice mixed with bamboo shoots. Also included are other seasonal ingredients, such as flounder and prawn sashimi, roast Japanese beef and clams.
Besides the variety of authentic Japanese dishes, the restaurant offers views of a traditional Japanese-style garden.
