To help a project between China and Japan to breed the endangered giant panda, Mitsui Garden Hotels will offer an Ueno no Panda Oen Plan at its five Tokyo locations for guests to support the new pandas at the Ueno Zoological Gardens.
Through June 30, the hotel group's Ueno, Ginza Premier, Shiodome Italia-gai, Yotsuya and Kamata properties are offering the accommodation plan to support the pair of giant pandas that arrived from China last month, in cooperation with the Ueno no Panda executive committee to welcome the animals. For guests using the plan, Mitsui will donate ¥500 per night to the Save the Panda campaign of the Tokyo Zoological Park Society, which runs Ueno Zoo and three others plus an aquarium in Tokyo.
As part of the plan, for each night's stay, guests will receive a cell phone screen cleaner charm with the Ueno no Panda original panda character design. Also, five guests using the plan will be randomly selected in a drawing to receive a free accommodation voucher for the Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno, which opened last September.
