Buffet restaurant Cafe Tosca at the Pan Pacific Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyu will put on dinners featuring ingredients from Yokohama and other parts of Kanagawa Prefecture from May 17 to June 30.
Under the concept of local production for local consumption, the restaurant's chefs visited local fishing ports and farms to select the finest local vegetables, seafood and meats, including Sagami pork, Miura chicken and the still rare Yamayuri beef.
Diners can watch chefs cook at the popular Action Corner, where sukiyaki, which is said to have originated in Yokohama, will be prepared with Yamayuri beef. Other dishes include bagna cauda featuring local vegetables, whitebait cheese risotto, minestrone soup and braised pork.
