From May 29 to June 1, The Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, will offer an "MO Azuma Odori" accommodation package, which combines a one-night stay for two in a Deluxe Room or a Premium Grand Room and two tickets for the 85th Azuma Odori, the famous annual geisha performance at Shinbashi Enbujo Theater in Ginza, Tokyo.
Azuma Odori is a rare chance to appreciate the traditional dancing, singing and shamisen skills of the geisha of Shinbashi Karyukai, one of the most exclusive geisha groups in Japan. Azuma Odori has been a major annual event since it was held at the opening of Shinbashi Enbujo in 1925.
The package also includes a traditional shokado bento lunch prepared by six prestigious Japanese ryotei restaurants (Tokyo Kiccho, Shinkiraku, Kanetanaka, Matsuyama, Yonemura and Yamane) served at the theater restaurant prior to the show, an American breakfast for two at K'shiki on the 38th floor of the hotel and a choice of early check-in from 11 a.m. or late check-out until 5 p.m.
