Spice up your summer menu
The Hotel New Grand in Yokohama is holding a Summer Curry Fair at the casual eatery The Cafe, facing Yokohama's famous Yamashita Park sightseeing spot.
For 80 years, the Hotel New Grand has been one of Japan's representative hotels. The fair features one of its most popular dishes, curry, which is created from an original recipe.
In addition to four staple curries — beef, pork, prawn and crab meat dry curry — Indian curry has been added to the menu for the fair. Curries are served with cold green-pea soup, rice or nan, dessert and coffee or yogurt-based lassi, and are priced at ¥2,500 to ¥2,700. The curries are available between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m., through Aug. 31.
