Ricoh has a habit of coming up with its own smart ideas as to what a camera should offer. Its latest bit of creativity is the G600, which intends to make its name for being water- and dust-resistant, not to mention possessing exceptional toughness.
Serious weather-sealing means that the camera can be used in the rain and is able to take photos in water to a depth of 1 meter, making it suitable for snorkeling snaps. The sealing also means it can be used in gritty environments, such as at the beach.
Ricoh claims that because of the camera's unusually strong frame it can withstand a fall from 1.5 meters, bettering the 1-meter drop standard of Ricoh's previous tough model, the popular Caplio 500G Wide.
