Gogh Imaizumi, a skilled cartoonist, left his hometown, Sapporo, at age 20 with the dream of becoming an illustrator. He took with him these words of advice from his mother: "Whatever you do, don't be a nuisance to anyone."
Those are now words that Gogh passes on to anyone who seeks his advice and, more importantly, to anyone who wants to attend one of his parties. In fact, not being a nuisance is the only rule at Department-H, the monthly lounge party that Gogh has hosted for the past nine years -- a place where, at first it seems, rules don't apply.
Department-H is a rarefied world where adults freely share their idiosyncratic sexual secrets with each other. Even if that simply means being there.
