Forget all the moralizing. "Dead to Rights," a new game for Xbox from Namco, is a mature game that earns the right to have strippers in thongs, dogs ripping out men's throats and more shootouts than Charles Bronson and Arnold Schwarzenegger saw in their entire careers.
The violence in this game is both gratuitous and indigenous. It's notable, both because it is on the extreme side and because it belongs in the game. Stylistically based on Hong Kong cinema, "Dead to Rights" is a game in which players control a K-9 Force cop as he topples an entire crime syndicate.
