The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan has been a vital link in the Anglo-Japanese business partnership for over 50 years. The partnership continues to expand, in new directions and in offering more opportunities. It is an important network, into which the chamber provides informed access.
David Blume is president of Japan Jaguar, the British automobile that has the distinctive logo of a sleek, leaping cat. This year he accepted the BCCJ presidency.
Blume comes from Manchester, cathedral city and important industrial base in Lancashire, England. He studied mechanical engineering at the University of Liverpool. Once he had joined the automobile industry, he found he enjoyed product planning more.
