This summer, Spider-Man is the luckiest superhero alive. Not only does he have a hit movie that has left critics and audiences impressed, he's also in a very good new game for GameCube, PlayStation 2, and especially Xbox.

Something about comic book heroes makes their adventures a difficult sale in other media. Sure, the Batman movies did big business, but does anybody admit to liking them?

Superman has come off well in such television shows as "Lois and Clark" and "Smallville." On the other hand, only the first of the four Christopher Reeves movies was even decent. Thank Krypton they nixed that Superman flick starring Nicholas Cage.
