Oct. 1-Dec. 14
In this ambitious contemporary art showcase, the Yokohama Museum of Art links our perception of the human body to history and societal expectations, while looking toward the future in anticipation of fresh artistic concepts.
Covering the representation of the human body, collective actions in society and the spiritual significance of the body, works on display explore how historical tragedy has often led to social hierarchies, prejudice and discrimination based on our physical appearances and lifestyles.
Six contemporary artists are featured, with works ranging from the poignant to the humorous.
