Until July 11
Renowned for her charming paintings and picture-book illustrations of flowers and children, Chihiro Iwasaki found particular pleasure in creating artworks while traveling. Always working to the theme of "peace and happiness for children," she found inspiration through her explorations in Japan, various countries in Europe, and in Russia (then known as the Soviet Union.)
This exhibition takes visitors along Iwasaki's journeys to relive her adventures through her travel sketches of local scenery and portraits of people who she encountered.
