To commemorate 150 years of diplomatic relations between Italy and Japan, the Edo Tokyo Museum is hosting a special exhibition on Italy's most famous Renaissance Man: Leonardo da Vinci.
These works brings to Japan for the first time "The Madonna of the Yarnwinder," one of only 15 extant paintings attributed to Leonardo, his handwritten notebook "Codice sul volo degli uccelli (Codex on the Flight of Birds)," and various sketches. Sixty works are being exhibited, including some by other artists influenced or inspired by Leonardo.
