Feb. 26-April 10
This ninth in a series of exhibitions of the paper trading company Takeo's poster collection focuses on "psychedelic posters," that look back on U.S. West Coast music and graphic art culture in the 1960s and the '70s.
Designed by Bill Graham (1931-1991), a rock concert promoter renowned for his work with bands such as Led Zeppelin, Grateful Dead and the Allman Brothers Band, these posters of vivid colors and striking designs were used to promote gigs being held at The Fillmore music venue in San Francisco. The showing is split into two sections — one covering 1966 to 1969 and the other 1970 to 1971.
