Feb. 19-March 15
This exhibition reintroduces five up-and-coming artists — Takumi Sejima, Keishi Takashima, Kazuki Takamatsu, Minoru Tamaru and Ayaka Yamada — all of whom have shown work at the museum's "Best Selection 2014" exhibition held in spring last year.
Sejima has become known for his large-scale landscape painting; Takashima's work shows a strong understanding and influence of classical Japanese art; Takamatsu uses computers to design illustrations he creates with resin paints; Tamaru creates wood carvings with unusual twists; and Yamada's detailed lithographic illustrations explore the theme of connections in life. Around 30 works are on display, including new pieces by each of the five artists.
