From its collection of around 2,500 pieces, the Bridgestone Museum's "Best of The Best" includes works by major names such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Paul Cezanne and Jackson Pollock.
This exhibition looks back on the museum's 63 years before it closes on May 18 for building renovations.
Nearly 160 works are being displayed, spanning 19th-century Western impressionism to 20th-century fauvism, cubism and abstract art. Numerous works by Japanese artists who were influenced by Western movements are also being featured in a show that follows the impressive expansion of the museum's collection; Jan. 31-May 17.
