Director: Darren Aronofsky
Language: English
Darren Aronofsky has been one of the more adventurous filmmakers of the past two decades and, in a sense, "Noah" is his riskiest film yet. Is it possible to take a Bible story and turn it into a Hollywood formula flick, larded with special effects and a drawn-out good guy versus bad guy fight in the last reel? Oh, and to make it intelligent — probing the thin line between divine inspiration and religious fundamentalism? He's better at the former than the latter, for sure.
