Takahito Motegi, chief human-resource officer of BOLBOP Inc., is a former participant in the Nitobe Kokusai Juku public lectures. He established an association called Machi no Hokori (Pride of Community) after a Nitobe Kokusai Juku field study visit to Otsuchi in Iwate Prefecture following the Great East Japan Earthquake. He has also been working on creating progressive communities in Kesennuma, Miyagi Prefecture, and beyond. For this lecture, Motegi shares his ideas on leadership in the age to come, based on his own experiences, focusing on the need for empathy and action as well as being future-oriented. The lecture will be in Japanese only.
