Director: Hayao Miyazaki
Language: Japanese, German, Italian, French (subtitled in English)
"Kaze Tachinu" ("The Wind Rises") is Hayao Miyazaki's last feature film (unless he comes out of retirement) and also one of his most personal. The film is about Jiro Horikoshi, the designer of Japan's Zero fighter plane — and a stand-in for Miyazaki — who is fulfilled in his creative labors and the joy of flight, but troubled by the use of his "beautiful machines" for war. The Japanese Blu-ray comes with English subtitles.
