Art-directed to within an inch of its life, this neo-noir set in Bangkok involves a boxing gym owner (Ryan Gosling) whose brother is killed after raping a young girl. Their mom (Tilda Swinton) shows up demanding revenge. Between Gosling's catatonic performance and the many scenes of his nemesis, a sword-wielding cop (Vithaya Pansringarm), singing karaoke ballads in real time, the WTF factor is mighty high indeed.
