Yoshitaka Yamaguchi's directorial debut is a psycho-thriller with a visual kineticism and a push-it-to-the-limit style of storytelling that recalls the work of Takashi Miike. A memory-loss victim (Tao Tsuchiya) who can communicate with the spirits of the dead helps police crack a serial killer case, but that is only the beginning of the strangeness, as doppelgangers split from their "originals" to disastrous effect.
