Ichihashi Orie is a young photographer who has recently gained significant recognition for her print media and advertising campaigns for major companies such as McDonald's, Kirin and Uniqlo.
She has a distinct style that utilizes light in a way that exposes fine details, yet also makes her images atmospherically bright and airy. Her photographs have been described as "neo-impressionist" and her solo show at the Pola Annex Museum last year presented works inspired by Impressionist painting.
This exhibition features more than 100 images and includes new, unpublished works as well as original prints hand-crafted by the artist herself; Dec. 14-March 2.
