Director: Ang Lee
Language: English
After "Life of Pi" earned Ang Lee an Oscar for best director and so many friends gushed about the film, I decided to give it a second chance on DVD. My opinion didn't change an iota. Lee's tale of a young Indian shipwreck survivor trapped on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger deserved its Oscars for visual effects and cinematography, but the story piles on the spiritual malarkey with the enthusiasm of a drunk who's just off the wagon.
